Job Summary
The HSJCC Network Coordinator will support the work of the Provincial Human Services and Justice Coordinating Committee (HSJCC). Working closely with the P-HSJCC Co-Chairs, P-HSJCC Executive Committee and Secretariat Team to provide overall administrative support and coordination to the Provincial HSJCC. The Coordinator will act as the first point of contact for the Provincial HSJCC and is responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholders as well as managing inquiries from the public.
Principle Responsibilities
- Coordinating meetings, events and minute-taking.
- Managing calendars and appointments.
- Managing confidential materials, assisting with correspondence, reports, presentations, managing databases.
- Providing administrative coordination for all projects of the Provincial HSJCC and advisory committees.
- Coordinating work-plans for all Local and Regional HSJCCs, as well as coordinating annual reports to the Ministry of Health.
- Providing administrative support to CMHAs Director of Justice Policy.
- Providing support the HSJCC Secretariat staff and the Director of Justice Policy with interrelated functions including policy development and analysis, project management support and communications, knowledge exchange and member engagement activities.
Skill Based Competencies
- Graduate degree in public policy, social work, health promotion or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in administrative support and coordination required.
- Familiarity with key concepts of mental health promotion, health equity and social determinants of health an asset.
- Working knowledge of the mental health and addictions sector and the criminal justice sector an asset.
- Experience working in multi-sectoral partnerships and liaising with non-governmental organizations and government agencies required.
- Work experience in the community sector is an asset.
- A variety of skills in administrative support and coordination is required for this role,including:
- Well developed administrative and organizational skills to meet priorities and deadlines; an eye for accuracy and attention to detail; demonstrated knowledge and work experience with standard office and filing procedures;
- Experience applying judgment, initiative and discretion when dealing with confidential, legal and/or sensitive information; ability to research, obtain and compile information and explore alternatives in order to prepare written material;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize a variety of tasks;
- Proven computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases and e-mail software as well as various office equipment;
- Ability to transcribe a variety of documents; and proficiency in entering and retrieving data to maintain statistical reports; experience with WordPress an asset.

Salary
Hiring Rate: This position pays between $73,520.97 and $75,726.60 per annum, based on a 35-hour work week.
The salary grid for this role ranges between $73,520.97 at Step 1 and $82,748.49 at Step 5. The initial salary offered for this position is anticipated to fall between Step 1 and Step 2 of the salary grid as posted above as the hiring rate.

Working Conditions
This is a full-time, regular (permanent) position working standard office hours (currently 35 hours/week). This position is based in Toronto, Ontario and may require regular travel. We arecurrently operating within a hybrid model, with colleagues working from the office at least 3 days/weekand from home up to 2 days/week.
This position is also a desk job with extended periods of sitting, reading, telephone interaction, and working at the computer. This position involves some moderate lifting, shipping, and handling. Attendance at various meetings throughout the workday/workweek will be required; meetings may occur on short notice, depending on the circumstances.
This position is within the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.
As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to maintain and submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
