Our client is looking for an experienced Environmental Project Manager in Edmonton - role requires solid background in remediation & reclamation program management within the oil, gas, and energy sectors.
The Project Manager will lead and guide project planning and execution of client field programs, managing both team and stakeholder engagement, collaboratively working with Indigenous partners, municipal representatives, and industry leaders to drive project success and community alignment. Some key project responsibilities include analyzing environmental data, proposing environmentally responsible solutions, providing expert guidance to establish, oversee, and report on regulatory activities on programs i.e., oil and gas (upstream & midstream) and mining.

Ideal candidates will likely have many of the following attributes:
- Undergraduate degree in Agrology, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Forestry, Land Reclamation, or a related field.
- 4+ years in environmental project management, with a focus on site assessments, remediation & reclamation within the oil, gas, or energy sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental site assessments (Phase 1 and Phase 2 ESA) and regulatory compliance, particularly with the AER, AEP, and federal permitting requirements.
- Strong understanding of contamination assessments, exposure control plans, sub-soil salinity tool application and site-specific liability assessments (SSLA) would be an asset.
- Familiarity with environmental remediation, reclamation, and restoration techniques, especially on contaminated sites and spill-impacted areas.
- Proficient in designing and executing site characterization, delineation programs, and spill response/clean-up operations.
- A member in good standing (or eligible) with a Canadian professional association would be an asset - ie, PEng / CET, PBio, PAgro
- Some Senior-level report review and sign-off experience on one ore more of the following would be considered an asset: Phase I and Phase II ESAs, Detailed Site Assessments (DSAs), Remediation Reports, and Land Use Planning Reports with SSLA & groundwater considerations.
