POSITION SUMMARY:
Position Summary
Known as Experience Managers, our sales team members manage the overall experience of the client from point of contact to their return, striving to provide transformational mountain experiences. This Experience Manager organizes travel arrangements including booking airfare, hotels, transportation, lift tickets, snow lessons and a variety of activities and adventures while maximizing revenues. But thats the nitty gritty what we really do is take our clients dreams and turn them into a reality.

In this position, youll be working directly with our travel partners in the hospitality and resort industry to ensure our guests needs are met and to help create memorable SkiCan experiences. Multitasking is essential as you hop between premade and custom packages within Canada, Europe, Japan, Chile, Norway, New Zealand and the US.
We are looking for someone who is personable, enthusiastic about winter sport and able to anticipate the needs of clients. We provide the leads, and you provide the knowledge and experience (and dont worry, we help with that too). Were a small team so theres always omeone to help you if you need it.
It is important that you are detailoriented and know how to juggle many different enquiries that is as we often work under tight deadlines, as well as techsavvy, as were using several online systems a day to get things done and send confirmations, invoices and tickets to clients.
Our agents are compensated based on salary with the potential to earn commission, and we offer a robust benefits package, paid vacation, as well as the opportunity to travel. More specifically, the role requires you to:
Handle incoming phone calls and email inquiries professionally and efficiently
Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers and guests to ensure a positive and memorable Skican experience.
Qualify each sales opportunity in order to customize reservations as required to exceed the guest experience.
Ensure complete and up-to-date product knowledge through webinar training sessions in order to provide information to guests and travel agents/tour operators regarding Skican product including hotel bedding and amenities, booking and cancellation policies, plus information on hotels and extra activities, and other relevant local community events and company information.
Enter all transactions into the reservations system in an accurate and timely manner - including rental agreements, confirmations, and itineraries.
Participate in product and reservation training sessions
Work directly with our travel partners in the hospitality and resort industry to ensure our guests needs are met and to help create memorable SkiCan experiences
Develop understanding on vendor contracts, learn how to negotiate rates and value adds
Assist Director of Sales with managing FIT product confirmations, accommodation and air inventory for Ski Escapes, and client payment deadlines
Develop, sell, manage and host Ski Escape trips (hosting is not mandatory but appreciated)
Participate in industry trade shows (Toronto, Ottawa Ski shows, Mountain Travel Symposium) as requested
Work cooperatively with other team members in an online sales environment to complete the booking and confirmation processes and track key data for all bookings to ensure timely and effective reservation management.

QUALIFICATIONS & JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications and Job Requirements
Bilingual in French, written and oral (required)
2-3 years relevant experience in sales and / or service environment
Experience with Rezometry or other reservation system(s)
Ability to work weekends (e.g. Saturday to Wednesday)
Familiarity with CRM software
Post-secondary diploma in travel or business administration or equivalent education and work experience
Strong initiating and adaptability skills
Strong organizational skills
Excellent client service and problem solving skills
Excellent English writing and editing skills
Knowledge of ski industry is an asset
