As we expand our operations, we are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our finance team and support the companys accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.

What You Will Be Doing
As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of Arcadian Projects. You will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial policies. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will help maintain smooth financial workflows, supporting project success and the companys continued growth.

This position is ideal for a highly organized professional with a passion for numbers and a keen eye for accuracy. Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless financial transactions and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments while maintaining accurate records.
  • Verify and reconcile supplier statements, resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Prepare and issue checks, wire transfers, and electronic payments.
  • Maintain and update AP records, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Generate and issue customer invoices, ensuring accurate billing in line with contracts and agreements.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely collections.
  • Reconcile customer accounts, investigate discrepancies, and process adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain AR aging reports and assist in cash flow forecasting.

Payroll Processing

  • Assist with payroll preparation, including entering employee hours, verifying timesheets, and processing payroll deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, tax requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and respond to payroll-related inquiries.
  • Process expense reimbursements and ensure proper documentation.

General Accounting Support

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and financial records.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Assist with additional accounting tasks and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing, preferably in the construction or project-based industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 300 CRE, Jonas, or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial record-keeping.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations, payroll laws, and financial compliance standards is an asset.
