In this role you will design and implement behaviour programs aimed at enhancing the client's quality of life. You will work under the supervision of the Manager of Autism and Behaviour Services as well as the Clinical Supervisor (Registered Behaviour Analyst), ensuring that services are delivered in accordance with the principles and science of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).

As an Autism Therapist you will work collaboratively with the team, other disciplines and families using a virtual platform, in center, classroom, home or community, as required. You will be responsible for data collection, documentation preparation, preliminary data analysis, training others using the BST model, and working collaboratively with Peer Support Providers.

The ROLE

As an Autism Therapist, you will provide support and/or supervised intervention to children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Dual Diagnosis using Progressive Applied Behaviour Analysis approaches and Neuro-affirming care practices. You will utilize the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to directly support the needs that children/youth have, in the areas of communication, social/interpersonal skills, daily living skills, behaviour management/self-regulation, play and leisure skills, vocational skills, etc.

You will participate in the delivery of both individualized and group interventions under the supervision of aRegistered Behaviour Analyst (R.B.A. Ont). You may be required to conduct collaborative sessions with ROCK service providers of other disciplines as needed by the program.You will be required to maintain a flexible work schedule to effectively accommodate the needs of clients and families receiving services through ROCK.

You will prioritize client safety by adhering to established policies and guidelines that ensure consistency in the delivery of quality and safe care and, by identifying and reporting any client safety incidents. You are also committed to supporting client-centered care by adhering to ROCKs principles.

Please note this is acontract position with an end date of September 12, 2025.

Who were looking for:

Preference for Post graduate diploma in the Behavioural Sciences field (e.g., Behaviour Sciences and Technology, or Autism and Behaviour Sciences diploma).

Preference for working towards masters degree in ABA.

At least two and a half years of experience delivering services using ABA with children and youth with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, up to age 18, under the supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (R.B.A., Ont).

Experience working with and implementing programming for children and youth with communication challenges, social skills need, daily living skills challenges, play and leisure skill needs, vocational skill needs, children and youth who engage in challenging behavior, etc.

Experience participating in family and child centered practice and collaborating with families.

Experience delivering both group and individual ABA interventions.

Experience running workshops is an asset.

Training and experience implementing Project ImPACT and/or Naturalistic Developmental Behaviour Interventions is an asset.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional Saturday

Reliable transportation for traveling within the Halton Region in alignment with the program needs
