OVERVIEW:

Working within the Company's Retail Finance Team, the Retail Accounting Coordinator is responsible for collecting, importing and processing retail data, reviewing and auditing site submissions, and making recommendations to improve process efficiency.

Reporting into the Accounting Manager, the Retail Accounting Coordinator is a key member of our retail Finance Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Validating and auditing site paperwork submissions, daily.
  • Collecting and importing various data files in the ERP system
  • Analyzing and rectifying discrepancies with the store retailers.
  • Restoring data and files in instances of loss due to system error.
  • Reconciling and balancing site method of payment, daily.
  • Assisting in the balancing of the general ledger for method of payment clearing accounts.
  • Processing the daily retail settlement and associated billings through the ERP system.
  • Troubleshooting issues related to paperwork submissions, file import or system errors in conjunction with the IT department.
  • Processing various charges and credits to retailers.
  • Maintaining site specific configurations in the ERP system.
  • Assuming a key role in the administration of retailer changeovers.
  • Obtaining and filing site documentation as required.
  • Responding to retailer requests and questions as required.
  • Develop understanding of the system's data flow, essential data files, and uploads, and contribute to process improvement/optimization.
  • Any other duties or projects that can reasonably be required.

EDUCATION & SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

  • A post-secondary education in finance/accounting, business administration, or a similar is desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the auditing and analysis of data is desirable.
  • A high degree of computer proficiency, including competence in Word and Excel is required.
  • Proven technical expertise working with data and ERP systems is desirable.
  • Ability to review large data sets and manipulate information for reporting purposes is required.

OTHER:

  • Strong technical and analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Sound organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work with recurring tasks within a structured process.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in French is considered an asset.
