Our Client is a leading provider of comprehensive transportation and logistics solutions across Canada and the continental USA, and is seeking a dynamic Outside Sales Account Manager to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to represent an asset-based company, drive new business growth, and develop strong customer relationships in the transportation and logistics sector within all of North American Territory.This position will report directly into the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for securing new customers, introducing new services, and building new book of business
  • Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure customers are receiving the level of service they have come to expect from our organization.
  • This position is very focused on bringing in new business and growing their existing business.
  • The Account Manager position will be salary based plus year end performance bonus
  • Prospect and call on new accounts
  • Working very closely with the Operations and Logistics dedicated team.
  • Help facilitate the onboarding of new clients
  • Maintaining the existing relationship with the customers
  • Updating calls/activities in CRM, sales and expense reporting
  • Travel within assigned territory - outside sales (Mostly SK)

Requirements:

  • Most suited to a motivated sales professional with a minimum of 5 years in the Transportation/Trucking industry
  • Understanding of transportation equipment and the industry
  • Truck Mate experience considered an asset
  • Heavy haul transportation sales experience an asset
  • Experience with MS (Excel, word, outlook)
  • Strong Cold Calling and Negotiating Skills
  • Exceptional Customer Service Attitude
  • Must be organized and able to manage time effectively
  • Manage challenges with a professional manner both external and internal.
  • Good communication, listening, selling and problem-solving skills
  • Valid Drivers License - with a clean driving record
