Term
This is a seasonal position starting early April until mid-October.
Requirements
- Experience in the travel/tourism industry
- Experience in reservations, sales, and/or retail preferred but not essential
- Strong sales and upselling skills with a customer-first approach
- Knowledge of the local area and key attractions
- Basic computer knowledge/skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, enthusiastic, and results-driven personality
- Able to work both in a team and independently
- Ability to handle complaints and turn service challenges into positive experiences
A Sample of Daily Tasks
- Sell and upsell sightseeing and activity tours through in-person, phone, and email interactions.
- Maximize sales opportunities by identifying customer needs and recommending the best tours, activities, and retail products.
- Provide expert advice on local attractions, experiences, and tour options to enhance the guest experience.
- Actively promote package deals, upgrades, and exclusive offers to increase revenue and guest satisfaction.
- Perform cash-out procedures accurately while tracking sales performance.
- Liaise with operations, guides, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Negotiate with third-party tour companies and suppliers to secure the best options for guests when needed.
- Maintain an inviting store environment by keeping retail stock and tour information well-organized and visually appealing.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and handle guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Support the team with additional tasks as requested by the supervisor.
