Salary: $23 - $25 Hourly

Job Overview:
The Youth Facilitator is responsible for delivering justice-related programs and services to youth within ACCECs initiatives. This role involves providing support, guidance, and advocacy to youth clients, ensuring they have access to legal services and resources. The Youth Facilitator will also assist in implementing the Sankofa Justice Initiative (SJI) for youth and contribute to the overall success of ACCEC's Access to Justice program.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Implementation:

  • Deliver justice-related programs and services to youth clients as part of ACCECs Access to Justice program.
  • Assist in implementing the Sankofa Justice Initiative for youth, including facilitating healing circles and providing restorative justice services.

Client Support:

  • Provide support and guidance to youth clients navigating the justice system.
  • Facilitate access to legal services, resources, and referrals for clients.

Advocacy:

  • Advocate for the rights and needs of youth clients, including representing their interests in relevant forums and meetings.
  • Assist in developing and implementing advocacy strategies for youth justice-related issues.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including legal organizations, government agencies, and community groups.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance access to justice for youth clients.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in social work, law, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with youth clients in the legal or social services field.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of issues facing youth clients in the justice system.
