Job Summary:
The Senior Portfolio Operations Analyst is responsible for the capture, processing, pricing, corporate actions, and settlement of security transactions. The role also includes client versus counterparty reconciliation and problem resolution with trading counterparties for a group of complex investment funds on behalf of a base of challenging institutional clients.
Essential Functions:
General Responsibilities:
- Security transactions capture, processing, pricing, and corporate actions processing.
- Support analysts with pricing and valuing portfolio(s).
- Work with brokers and investment managers to investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks.
- Partner with internal accountants to ensure valuation integrity.
- Improve and enhance processes and procedures.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Portfolio Management System.
- Monitor, maintain, and meet tight reporting deadlines and demanding obligations of clients, assisting with transparency reporting preparation.
- Produce various internal and external reports related to trading and investment performance on a timely and accurate basis.
- Deliver accurate daily, weekly, and monthly position and cash reconciliations.
- Resolve settlement-related problems with trading counterparties.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform other job functions as required.
- Handle general administration relating to client funds.
Job Qualifications:
- University degree in Maths, Finance, or Accounting.
- Minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar role, working with complex securities and derivatives products.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Technical knowledge of alternative investment products and the offshore financial services industry, including system technology, portfolio valuation, accounting, share transfer and registration, prime brokerage, financing, and custody.
- Proficiency in all Windows applications, with ideal knowledge of fund accounting applications.
- Self-driven with a strong work ethic.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong team orientation.
- Experience in relationship management and client service.
- Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
