As the newest Estimator in our Penticton, BC or Kelowna, BC location, you'll be at the heart of the action, managing a bid from beginning to endcreating a scope definition, reviewing the estimate, and maintaining documentation control ensuring that every detail of project pricing is carefully considered and included. Your ability to think on your feet and remain flexible while meeting tight deadlines will be key to your success.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Pre-Bidding Activities: Seek out new projects to bid on, analyze and post tenders to our tracking system, and provide feedback on the suitability of each project.
• Site Investigations: Participate in site visits and pre-bid meetings to clarify project expectations, highlight potential issues, and ensure the team is well-prepared.
• Bid Proposals & Documentation: Review project plans, specs, and proposals to prepare accurate and comprehensive bid estimates, ensuring all required information is included.
• Trade & Supplier Communication: Solicit pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, managing communication during the tender phase to secure the best deal and maintain relationships.
• Estimating & Scheduling: Accurately estimate labor, material, and equipment costs while building detailed construction schedules to guide the project.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Experience & Skills: 5+ years of estimating experience in the construction industry. Project Management or Project Coordination experience is a plus, as is "hands-on" knowledge in carpentry, civil, or mechanical trades.
• Education: An engineering degree is preferred, but we're open to relevant experience or other education in the field.
• Problem Solving: You're a resourceful, solution-oriented individual who can think outside the box when problem solving.
• Communication: Strong communication skills are a must. Youll engage with owners, architects, engineers, trades, and suppliers, making sure everyone stays aligned and informed.
• Tech Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), MS Project, and Bluebeam. Experience with estimating databases is an added advantage.

The salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year.
