Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Workday Specialist to join our IT Infrastructure Team. As we deploy Workday HRIS globally, this role will be responsible for the administration, optimization, and support of the Workday platform. The Workday Specialist will collaborate with HR, IT, and external vendors to develop workflows, improve system efficiency, and integrate Workday with other business applications. The ideal candidate will have strong Workday configuration experience, integration knowledge, and technical problem-solving skills to support the organization's evolving needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Workday HRIS, ensuring system stability, performance, and security.
- Develop, optimize, and support Workday business processes, workflows, and automation to streamline HR operations.
- Assist in designing and implementing Workday integrations with other enterprise systems (ERP, payroll, financial systems, etc.).
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure timely resolution of Workday-related problems.
- Work closely with HR and IT teams to analyze business needs, gather requirements, and implement Workday configurations.
- Support and maintain Workday security roles, permissions, and access controls.
- Monitor and test Workday updates, patches, and releases, ensuring seamless adoption of new features.
- Develop reports and dashboards using Workday reporting tools to provide insights and analytics.
- Document system changes, configurations, workflows, and best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on Workday functionalities and enhancements.
- Collaborate with external Workday consultants and vendors to support system development and integration projects.
What You Bring to the Table:
Education:
- College Diploma or University Degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, HRIS, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience administering and configuring Workday HRIS.
- Experience with Workday modules such as Core HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Absence, Payroll, and Talent Management is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Workday administration, configuration, and security management.
- Strong knowledge of Workday integrations, including Workday Studio, EIB, and Workday REST/SOAP APIs.
- Experience with business process configuration, calculated fields, condition rules, and report writing.
- Familiarity with data migration, transformation, and mass uploads using Workday EIB.
- Knowledge of enterprise application integrations (ERP, Payroll, Finance systems, Microsoft Azure, etc.).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Workday performance and functionality issues.
- Understanding of cloud-based HR systems, data security, and compliance best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify system inefficiencies and propose solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL, PowerShell, or other scripting languages is an advantage.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Workday Pro Certification in Core HCM, Integrations, or Reporting.
- Workday Certified Implementation Specialist is a plus.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) for integration knowledge.
- CompTIA Security+ or similar security certification.
