As a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, you will develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support business decision-making. Your day will involve working closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, collaborating with data engineers to integrate and transform data, and ensuring BI tools deliver accurate and actionable insights. You will monitor data quality, optimize performance, and contribute to data governance efforts while maintaining documentation and providing training to business users.

???? A DAY IN THE LIFE

• BI Solution Design: Play a key role in designing BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and visualizations, that meet the strategic and operational needs of the business. Recommend solutions based on best practices, balancing practicality and business value. Raise concerns for unfeasible solutions, and obstacles that prevent solutions from being implemented.
• Collaboration (Engineering) Collaborate with data engineers to integrate data from various internal and external sources. Facilitate support from business stakeholders in answering engineering questions.
• Collaboration (Business): Work closely with business stakeholders (e.g., product, marketing, finance) to gather requirements, understand business needs, and deliver BI solutions that drive actionable insights.
• Dashboard & Report Creation: Develop interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports using Tableau, ensuring they are tailored to the needs of different business units.
• Data Transformation & ETL Processes: Work with the data engineering team to design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, transforming raw data into clean, structured formats ready for analysis and reporting.
• Data Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain the quality and integrity of BI data, ensuring reports and dashboards are accurate, up-to-date, and meet user requirements. This includes Tableau data environment (Tableau Flow), investigating and preventing stale data in reports.
• Data Catalog & Governance: Contribute to and help maintain a data catalog by collaborating with Data Stewards on shared definitions and their consistent application across reporting.
• Performance Optimization: Strive for high performance of BI tools and reports, focusing on optimization and ensuring that queries and visualizations are fast and efficient. Identifying bottlenecks where possible for engineering to support.
• Documentation & Training: Maintain thorough documentation on BI processes, models, and tools. Provide training to business users to ensure they can make the most of the BI solutions you develop.
• Self Development: Stay current with industry trends, new BI tools, and best practices, ensuring that BI solutions evolve to meet changing business needs

???? WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Experience designing BI solutions that align with business needs while ensuring feasibility and value.
• Strong ability to develop interactive dashboards and reports, primarily using Tableau.
• Ability to work effectively with data engineers and business stakeholders to translate business needs into BI solutions.
• Understanding of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure clean, structured data.
• Experience maintaining data accuracy, monitoring Tableau environments, and contributing to a data catalog.
• Staying current with industry trends, BI tools, and best practices to improve solutions over time.

???? COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Salary $55,000 to $70,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
