RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strong leadership to direct reports and present a high level of professionalism to all within the company; Lead by example and ensure the most basic tasks within the surface administration team are executed.
  • Key liaise between clients and teams, while providing the Senior level support in accordance to the LSI standards.
  • Provide professional ability to problem solve; as well as demonstrated assistance and guidance to the administration team.
  • Manage surface administrative quality of work, while being accountable to LSI standards; provide corrective instructions and solutions to mitigate mistakes.
  • Coordinate with Managers and other Leads to designate resources and distribute work as required. Prioritize projects and ensure LSI/ client commitments are being met.
  • Responsible for the training and utilization of all internal databases such as SharePoints, BigTime, LandTraxx and providing active feedback in future developments of the program.
  • Mentoring Land Analysts on your team; provide on-going feedback in a professional manner about performance – acknowledgements, corrections, etc.
  • Ensure analysts are provided with the necessary technical support and training to complete their daily tasks and meet their annual goals.
  • Ensure merge setups are in place for existing and new clients; providing training as required.
  • Responsible for evaluating workloads and processes to realize opportunities for efficiencies and improvements. Work with Managers, Leads and Analysts as required.
  • Assist in any Administrative duties that maybe be required to ensure timelines are being met and completed accurately.
  • Responsible for approving timesheets, holiday requests, and management of flex days for your direct reports.
  • Responsible for the team to utilize their time efficiently and billing effectively.
  • Responsible for the overall identification of unrecoverable time and ensure they are properly accounted for and monitored.
  • Assists with hiring and managing any disciplinary actions that may be required of staff.
  • Liaise with government bodies and understand relevant knowledge of regulations that are associated with land acquisition operations such as AER, AEP, AUC, BC-ER, FCBC, CER, SRB, and Municipalities.
  • Relevant knowledge of changes of surface acquisition related industry requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of appropriate surface acquisition documents such as lease agreements and crossing agreements.
  • Expert understanding of the acquisition process on Crown land requirements.
  • Interact with clients to promote relationships and team building, as well as ensure all needs of the client are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all LandSolutions policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10 years' practical experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' leadership experience.
  • Experience in the Upstream, Midstream, Power and Renewable Energy Sectors throughout Western Canada with a focus on AB and BC.
  • Knowledge of various federal and provincial processes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in the following programs will be considered an asset; SPINII, ETS, AbaData, SharePoint, Pandell Projects, Microsoft Office Suite, GeoAmps, OneStop, EDS.
  • Good organizational and communication skills including written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Post-secondary certificate, degree or diploma in land or related field.
