Springboard's Community Learning HUB (HUB), our digital learning platform launched in 2009, promotes health and inclusion for youth and young adults. Supporting over 250 schools, social service organizations, and Springboard staff, the HUB reaches thousands of participants annually across Canada.

The HUB's Learning & Training Coordinator is responsible for supporting curriculum development and training for Springboard's HUB digital learning initiatives. Reporting to Supervisor, Community Learning HUB, the main responsibilities of the Learning & Training Coordinator include: the curriculum development of digital learning modules; implementing HUB module curriculum standards including Journals, Workbooks, and Facilitator Guides; facilitation of Orientation webinars for platform introduction and Discovery webinars to showcase our learning modules; facilitation of youth justice site-specific agency trainings; and general facilitator onboarding and support. Working collaboratively with the HUB's cross-functional team of web developers, designers, and community outreach leads, the Learning and Training Coordinator supports our module development and training process, along with coordinating professional development initiatives for HUB's Community of Practice.

WAYS YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

  • Facilitator Engagement and Training – Build relationships, oversee multiple partnerships, respond to facilitator/partner agency needs. Engage, educate, lead and inspire others to improve their work with marginalized populations. Schedule and coordinate facilitator engagement and training activities, along with maintaining resources and training evaluation materials.
  • Curriculum Research & Development - Research best practices in adult education, transformative learning, and participatory learning methods to support curriculum for HUB learning content. Prepare literature reviews outlining relevant background information and key learning outcomes for module development. Oversee creation of learning materials for HUB in alignment with HUB standards for modules, journals and facilitator guides
  • Online Community of Practice – Advocate and promote HUB, respond to questions and communicate future goals for HUB, and support with the creation of professional development opportunities for HUB's Community of Practice. Compile feedback regarding HUB platform efficacy and improvements, and work collaboratively with the cross-functional team to address.
  • Communications and Marketing – Creative thinking about relevant topics for HUB facilitators. Identifying key stakeholders and partners to help expand HUB brand. Planning and coordinating work flow and projects.
  • Confidentiality – Identify and handle confidential materials and matters as per organizational policies and procedures and legal standards. Be cognizant of the sensitive nature of all Community of Practice members, clients, and site information that is processed routinely.

Requirements

WHO YOU ARE

  • Post-secondary education in adult education, social work, public health, the social services sector, or a combination of related education and experience in those fields
  • 2+ years of experience in training, facilitation, adult education, curriculum writing, or other related non-profit work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver high quality training programs such that the subject matter is being delivered in a supportive environment
  • Experience compiling research and best practices on a topic to create engaging learning content with strong evidence-based frameworks
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills including ability to conduct presentations in large groups
  • Proficiency in computer applications for organizing and creating documents, such as Word, Excel, Dropbox
  • Proficiency with computer applications that increase engagement and communication such as PowerPoint and Zoom
  • Initiative, a strong sense of motivation and strong work ethic
  • An aptitude for problem solving, researching and analyzing information and clearly communicating the results to a variety of users
  • Ability to contribute to projects and partnerships from an anti-oppressive framework
