Position Summary
The Account and Sales Coordinator will be an integral part of our motivated sales team, working directly with our Business Development Manager to manage incoming sales requests, identify new sales opportunities, and sell Element Tent products and services to prospective customers. In addition to meeting sales targets, the sales representative will be responsible for supporting RFPS, and on-site project management.
With tent sales offices in both Toronto and Hamilton, this position will require working out of both offices depending on work load, though the main office location will be in Hamilton. This position will also require you to be on site for client meetings, tent installations and project management.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound Sales
Review and respond to inbound inquires from calls, emails, website etc.
Identify and qualify needs based on budget and timeline of events.
Provide guidance on event needs and ask qualifying questions
Issue quotations and Request for Proposals
Manage and disperse leads to team as needed
Outbound Sales
Work with our BD Manager to identify potential prospects
Cold calling lists of prospects to generate new business
Project Management / Customer Service Management
Key client liaison from start to end of project/event
Assisting with quotations and RFPs and converting these into closed business
Develop and create presentations of company products and services to current and potential clients
Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development
Create and issue Tent Rental Agreements
Negotiate pricing with sub-contractors as needed
Ensure tent crew is fully informed of their requirements for install, event stand by and removal
Other Duties
Administration support for the Sales team
Provide assistance to Business Development on larger projects
Requirements & Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
Minimum one year experience in Sales, an asset if it is in the event industry
Can positively deal with demanding timelines and stressful situations
Able to seek out business opportunities through industry research, cold calling, and building relationships
Willing to work irregular and/or long hours during a customer's event
Have the ability to travel for out-of-province or out-of-country events
Have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
Relevant experience in Microsoft Office
