Stonehenge Therapeutic Community provides a range of residential and community-based treatment services to individuals struggling with problematic substance use and concurrent mental health issues. About the Role:

As a member of the Clinical Leadership Team, the Clinical Manager Community & Justice is accountable for providing clinical direction, leadership and oversight of staff working within our Community & Justice program, Addiction Court Support, Addiction Support Coordination and Peer-led programs. This role will be responsible for program planning, programming, recruitment support, and direct supervision of staff. In addition to demonstrating strong clinical skills and professional judgment, our ideal candidate will have experience in developing high performing staff teams.

Role Type: Full Time, Permanent (1 vacancy)

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Friday (days)
  • Participation in a mandatory clinical 'on call' rotation is also required, as a shared responsibility of the Clinical Leadership team, and requires weekend or evening work on a rotational/occasional basis

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a BSW, MSW or other University Degree relevant to mental health, addiction or Social Services
  • Minimum of 3 years direct clinical work with individuals experiencing addiction and concurrent mental health issues required
  • Registration with a professional college (i.e. OCSWSSW or CRPO) required
  • Experience providing clinical supervision and team leadership an asset
  • Experience with inter-agency partnerships / multi-disciplinary teams an asset
  • Strong knowledge of addictions theory and practice, withdrawal management, harm reduction, and current best practices particularly concurrent and trauma-informed
  • Lived experience related to addictions and/or mental health an asset
  • Valid G Drivers License (G2 or G) and Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record
  • CSC Clearance conducted by PWGS Canada
  • Standard First Aid/CPR Level C
  • Flexible schedule as required to support program delivery
  • Own transportation and reliable vehicle required
  • Must be able to attend work (travel to Residential Centres) within an hour of notification, when on call

Role Responsibilities:

Clinical Oversight and Management

  • Clinical and administrative supervision to Community Services staff
  • Support professional development of clinical staff through coaching, feedback and mentoring
  • Guide clinical decision-making and the management of high-risk situations
  • Provide on call support and crisis supervision on off hours, on a rotational basis, as required
  • Build and maintain high performance teams

Partnership and Funder Relations

  • Build strong relationships with all community partners and attend related meetings
  • Work alongside the Leadership Team to support program development and improvement
  • Provide orientation, training, and workshops regarding addiction-related topics both internally and externally on behalf of the organization
  • Collaborate with STCs community partners through joint operation and management of shared programs

Administrative

  • Conduct recruitment, performance management, discipline, and termination as required
  • Complete regular clinical file audits and maintain thorough and accurate supervision notes and files
  • Participate in quality assurance processes such as accreditation and the implementation of community program outcome measurement tools and reporting of results (i.e. client satisfaction surveys, retention results, etc.)
  • Sign off electronic payroll, approve vacation requests and expense claims
  • Perform other duties as required
