Job Overview
Specific duties would include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure all waterfront recreational areas, coach boats, docks, plumbing, and electrical services are in working order.
- Creating seasonal work schedule, weekly project schedule and daily duty schedule for Dockmasters
- Collaborate with the Waterfront Coordinator to maintain an active inventory of all waterfront assets and create an accompanying annual state-of-good repair record.
- Conducts an annual safe mooring assessment of all Member and Club owned vessels.
- Provide an inclusive, welcoming, and flexible learning environment for all Members, Guests, Program Participants, and Staff.
- Assists the Yachting Director and Waterfront Coordinator with tasks related to the Yachting and Water Sports Section(s) programs, services and operations.
- Participates in all areas of The Boulevard Clubs Waterfront operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous supervisory work experience in a Yacht Club or Marina environment, including scheduling and administering shifts for frontline Dock Staff.
- Exceptional customer service skills on the phone, in person, and via email
- Knowledge of recreational boating safe practices or willingness to learn.
- Good interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills. Must be friendly, positive, and outgoing.
- Must be organized, neat, and professional.
- Has command of computer skills related to MS Office 365, Google Drive, Spreadsheets, Email, MS Teams and Database management.
- Possess valid Standard First Aid/CPR/AED, Toronto Harbour License, P.C.O.C card and a V.H.F. Radio Operator's License certification*
- Cash Handling, point of sale (POS) system, and credit card processing experience an asset.
- Able to speak, read and write fluent English.
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as part of a team.
