About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Piping/Layout Designer to join their expert drafting team. Reporting to the Drafting Manager, this role offers the opportunity to work on industry-leading projects in either Edmonton or Calgary. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in piping and layout design.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and update P&ID diagrams.
  • Create precise 3D layout and piping models.
  • Lead 3D model reviews to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Check and approve vendor-supplied drawings.
  • Produce fabrication isometric drawings and general arrangement details.
  • Model pressure vessels and fabrication details.
  • Assist the piping checker and support junior/intermediate designers.
  • Develop and maintain drawing standards and recommend process improvements.

RequirementsWhat You Bring:
  • 10+ years experience in piping and layout design.
  • Proficiency in Cadworx 3D, AutoCAD (2D & 3D), and Isogen for spool generation.
  • Strong knowledge of plant processes and layout design.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Passion for mentoring and leadership to support team development.
