GeoSpectrum Technologies Inc. is experiencing rapid growth, and we are looking for a Technical Project Manager to support the planning and execution of our projects. As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead a team in the development and delivery of innovative underwater acoustic projects. You will be involved in resource planning, budgeting, and project execution. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in managing a team to successfully deliver electro-mechanical hardware solutions. Candidates with project management experience in the naval, marine, defense, or aerospace industries and a background in electrical or mechanical design are strongly preferred. Projects may include power and electronics, firmware and controls, and mechanical and marine systems.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Scheduling:Developing detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Team Leadership:Leading and motivating a team of engineers and other professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Quality Assurance:Ensuring that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Technical Oversight:Providing technical guidance and support to the project team, ensuring engineering solutions are feasible and effective.
  • Performance Monitoring:Tracking project progress, performance, and making necessary adjustments to keep the project on track.
  • Compliance and Safety:Ensuring that all project activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Stakeholder Communication:Communicating with stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and team members, to provide updates and address any issues.
  • Risk Management:Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on the project.
  • Budget Management:Preparing and managing project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and financial objectives are met.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Engineering Technology and/or related career experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years project management experience.
  • Proven experience managing engineering projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Experience managing large and complex projects in a similar industry.
  • Professional Engineering designation, an asset.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
  • Valid Canadian passport required.
