Role Summary
Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in a sizable development project in the heart of Edmonton? As a Field Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily execution of a large-scale development project in Edmonton. Acting as a key link between project management and field teams, you will coordinate subcontractors, schedules, and site activities to ensure work progresses safely, efficiently, and on time.
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
- Safety & Compliance Conduct safety orientations for new workers and ensure adherence to all site safety protocols. Identify and address safety concerns proactively.
- Subcontractor Management Oversee subcontractors and vendors, ensuring all deliverables are completed on schedule, within scope, and to quality standards. Address performance or scheduling issues as needed.
- Stakeholder Coordination Work closely with pipeline, utility, and city partners to ensure smooth collaboration, regulatory compliance, and minimal disruptions to the project.
- Project Meetings & Reporting Attend project meetings, provide accurate progress updates, and assist in resolving operational or scheduling challenges.
- Scheduling & Milestone Tracking Update and maintain project schedules, track key milestones, and ensure deadlines are met. Identify and address potential scheduling conflicts early.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with exposure to earthworks, underground utilities, and surface construction.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills for effectively liaising with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel and Microsoft Project.
- A background in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology is preferred.
