What youll do

Were a small but mighty team where each member has significant autonomy, and as a result, a lot of responsibility. In the Front End Developer role, you will contribute meaningfully to our React Web Portal as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the Kahi Web Portal and ensuring it effectively supports key business objectives.

In your first 3 months you will:

  • Ramp up on our existing React code base.
  • Get to know your coworkers, make connections and learn more about the restoration industry.
  • Work directly with Product Managers, Designers and Development Leads to shape the solution design and user experience of impactful features.
  • Contribute meaningfully to the development of new web features.
  • Deliver features quickly and efficiently into our CI/CD pipeline.
  • Support the ongoing handling of technical debt and resolution of product defects.

In your first year you will:

  • Own and deliver core features within our React web portal.
  • Collaborate with a cross functional team to design and deliver impactful features.
  • Share your perspectives, ideas and expertise in ways that help us shape the Kahi experience and build a world class platform for our customers.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of professional working experience
  • Fundamental understanding of the web technology stack and proficient in HTML, CSS, Typescript, and modern frameworks/libraries (we use React).
  • Experience developing resilient web applications that balance scalability, usability, and extensibility
  • Experience writing web application features that interact with backend REST APIs
  • Experience in building responsive and user-centric web applications
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (we use vitest and React Testing Library) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Git version control (we use GitLab)
  • Passion for building consumer applications with elegant and clean interfaces
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

What will set you apart

  • Experience with mobile development or React Native
  • Experience with Webpack/Vite config and React app bootstrapping.
  • Experience using TailwindCSS
  • Familiarity with Agile workflows like Scrum or Kanban.
  • Hands-on experience with UX and UI Design and/or research.

Compensation

The Salary band for this role is $80,000 - $100,000. Placement within the range will depend on demonstrated proficiency, similar roles, and expected impact.
