Job DescriptionThe longshoreman is responsible for manual work involved in loading and unloading vessels and trucks. He or she may be called upon to operate machinery (forklift, wheel loader, ship's crane, etc.) to carry out stowage, handling, and storage operations.
WORK SCHEDULE :
- The schedule is flexible and requires on-call availability
- Weekly hours may vary based on our needs
- Occasional work at other marine terminals within our network may be offered

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED:
- Enthusiasm for hands-on outdoor work, including tasks on the dock and within ship holds
- Experience with operating machinery, such as forklifts, is highly valued
- Experience with working at heights and in confined spaces is an asset
- Experience with an overhead crane and other lifting equipment is an asset
- Ability to work on-call with rotating schedules including day, night, evening, and weekend
