Join Our Board of Directors: Make a Difference in Mental Health

Island Community Mental Health Association (ICMHA) is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a board member, you will play a key role in guiding our mission to support individuals on their mental health journey through innovative community-based programs and services.

1. Impact Lives: Help shape policies and programs that provide essential mental health support to individuals across Vancouver Island.
2. Collaborate with Experts: Work alongside mental health professionals, community leaders, and advocates dedicated to improving well-being.
3. Professional Growth: Develop leadership skills, expand your network, and gain governance experience in a non-profit setting.
4. Advocate for Change: Support mental health awareness and help reduce stigma through strategic initiatives and advocacy efforts.

We welcome individuals with diverse backgrounds and skills, particularly those with experience in:

1. Mental health and healthcare
2. Non-profit governance and leadership
3. Fundraising and grant writing
4. Community engagement and advocacy
5. Legal, financial, or strategic planning

1. Attend monthly board meetings (virtual and in-person).
2. Participate in committee work and special initiatives.
3. Support fundraising and outreach efforts.
4. Serve a renewable two-year term.

Operating since 1956, Island Community Mental Health (ICMH) is a leading non-profit organization committed to delivering best practices in evidence based programming and service provision within the mental Health and substance use sector.

ICMH provides person centered, recovery oriented, and psycho-social rehabilitation (PSR) informed-care across a spectrum of services including housing and housing supports, group and one-on-one programming, and in Licensed Care settings.
