Legend Boats is hiring! We have two full-time, seasonal Marine Technician positions available for motivated, mechanically inclined individuals with hands-on experience using power and hand tools. These seasonal positions typically run from March to late November. Join our team in Havelock, Ontario!

Compensation:

Starting at $20 - $27 per hour, based on level of experience. Eligible for group insurances, health and dental benefits, and pension plan with company-matching after 6 months of continuous employment.

The ideal candidate is:

• Someone with a strong work ethic who can work as a team member to achieve quality and production goals.
• Experienced with basic hand and power tools and able to follow instructions
• Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety information
• Motivated and a self starter who genuinely enjoys hands-on work
• Dedicated to safety
• Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending and reaching
• Comfortable working on your feet most of the day

What will you be doing?

• Build side consoles, full windshield boats, deck boats, pontoons, and trailers for wholesale
• Standard rig all models for Legend Factory Stores
• Retail rig for Legend Factory Stores as scheduled, typically April through August of each year
• Perform hull repairs as requested
• Make repairs/adjustments as needed prior to delivery
• Identify and perform warranty work from the factory
• Understand managers instructions and customer expectations
• Maintain a high level of quality
• Work safely and keep area clean, leading by example
• Help setup and teardown of boat shows locally and within the designated travel area as needed
• Work with retail and service departments to meet and achieve goals
• Perform seasonal services and shrink wrapping
• Perform winterizations
• Assist in performing hull swaps as required to keep the flow of work through the shop running efficiently
