Curb Machine Operator - ARCP

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in mass excavation, drilling & blasting, pipeline & underground utility placement, concrete placement and asphalt paving. Our team has had tremendous growth in the last year, and we are excited to keep expanding. We are looking to hire one individual who has experience operating and maintaining a curb machine to work with our concrete crew.

Requirements:

• Must be reliable, punctual and possess a positive attitude.
• Valid class 5 drivers license and/or reliable transportation to and from various worksites in the HRM.
• Experience operating a curb machine for concrete placement.
• Comfortable assisting with concrete labour and finishing when curb machine is not required.
• Able to work as a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers, ensuring all tasks are being completed in a safe and timely manner.
  

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain curb machines for precise curb, gutter, and sidewalk formation.
• Monitor concrete flow and make real-time adjustments to maintain accuracy.
• Perform routine inspections and minor repairs on the equipment.
• Support grading, leveling, and manual curb finishing when needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth operations.
• Assisting with mixing, pouring, and spreading concrete
• Other various construction related activities as instructed
