The Role

The E-Commerce Specialist is responsible for managing and growing online sales through key retail e-commerce channels, with a strong focus on Amazon. This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with expertise in vendor central, drop shipping, and sponsored advertising. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-paced, collaborative culture that values humility, adaptability, and a keen willingness to learn.

As part of a three-person product team, the E-Commerce Specialist will play a crucial role in data-driven decision-making and operational execution to optimize online performance.

Responsibilities

Data Management & Analysis (60%-70%)

  • Execute high-volume data entry tasks with precision and accuracy
  • Analyze sales performance, pulling data insights to drive strategy
  • Optimize product listings and advertising spending to maximize visibility and conversion rates

E-Commerce Operations & Administration

  • Manage Vendor Central, drop ship operations, and global e-commerce activities
  • Oversee product catalogue updates, including pricing, promotions, and inventory management
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure on-time fulfillment
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Amazon and other major e-commerce customers

Strategic Execution & Growth

  • Monitor market trends and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Implement e-commerce promotional strategies in collaboration with internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with retailer requirements and best practices for digital merchandising

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience in retail e-commerce, preferably with exposure to Amazon and major retail platforms
  • University degree or college diploma
  • Experience working with NetSuite or other CRM and integrated sales platforms
  • Strong technical proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas)
  • Excellent communication skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and pivot in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with consumer packaged goods (CPG) is preferred, but not required
  • Strong understanding of retail fundamentals (gross margins, markup, etc.)
  • Must be highly collaborative, detail oriented and accurate
  • Must have a reliable vehicle & driver's license (not accessible by public transit)
