We are seeking a Personal Trainer (Strength Specialist) to join our team. This role is ideal for a science-driven coach who thrives in a multi-disciplinary, high-performance environment, working alongside physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, kinesiologists, and performance trainers to deliver elite-level training and rehabilitation programs.
Location: Calgary, AB
Availability: Flexible - days, evenings, weekends (Full-time or Part-time)
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized strength and conditioning programs tailored to athlete and active client needs.
- Assess movement quality and performance metrics, utilizing force plates, isometric testing, and biomechanical assessments to refine training strategies.
- Work closely with rehabilitation specialists to transition clients from rehab to performance, ensuring a seamless progression.
- Educate clients on proper strength training principles, movement efficiency, injury prevention, and recovery strategies.
- Contribute to team meetings, case discussions, and research initiatives, ensuring best practices in strength and conditioning.
- Maintain a high standard of coaching, ensuring client engagement, motivation, and education throughout the training process.
We Are Looking for the Following on Your Resume:
- Certifications: CSEP-CPT, CSEP-CEP, CSCS, or NSCA certification (CanFit Pro or Kinesiologist certification also accepted).
- Education: BSc in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field (MSc is a strong asset).
- Experience: Prior coaching or strength training experience in high-performance, rehab, or athletic settings is an asset.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of biomechanics, movement assessment, periodization, and exercise prescription.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team, integrating performance training with rehab and movement science.
- Communication & Problem-Solving: Strong client communication, leadership, and analytical skills to assess movement patterns and optimize training programs.
