We are looking for a Manager, Talent Management to join our team!
Reporting to the Director, People and Culture, the Manager, Talent Management will play a critical role in driving CMHA Peel Dufferin's recruitment and retention strategies and processes. Emphasis will be placed on designing, developing, and implementing recruitment processes and programs aligned to strategic objectives, driving continuous improvement in employee development, engagement and learning. Leading talent and succession planning, as well as work collaborating to support employee engagement, this role ensures alignment with CMHA Peel Dufferins leadership values, contributing to building a highly effective, agile workforce.
Status: Full-Time Permanent, 37.5 hours a week; regular day time operational hours; evenings/weekends may required. Note, this posting is for an active vacancy.
Salary: $90,419.82 - $106,376.25 annually(Candidate qualifications will be considered when determining the starting salary)
Location: This position is based out of our 601-7700 Hurontario office. Although we operate within a hybrid workplace model, staff are required to have on-site and/or community presence as per program and organizational needs.
What You Will Do:
- Manage and oversee daily operations relating to recruitment and lead, coach, motivate and develop a small team of talent acquisition individuals to source, attract and engage diverse talent and build an inclusive external pipeline of quality talent.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection for various healthcare and corporate services roles
- Provide expert advice, coaching, and support to management and staff on various matters, including recruitment, pay for performance, and inclusive engagement practices.
- Contribute to the reviewing and updating of CMHA Peel Dufferins total rewards and comprehensive compensation strategy, including benchmarking, compensation review processes, and job evaluation standards.
- Collaborate with leadership in execution of succession planning to ensure a robust pipeline for critical leadership and key expertise roles.
- Collaborate with leadership and supervisors in identifying and developing employees to enable progressive career development and enhance their overall employee experience.
- Collaborate with department leaders to forecast hiring needs and implement proactive recruitment strategies.
- Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to talent management functions, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

What You Need to Join Our Team:
- Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
- Member of HRPA; CHRP, CHRL or other HR designation, or in progress is an asset.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a talent management focused role, with a preference for experience in a non-profit, healthcare, or social services setting.
- Minimum of 3 years of formal or informal leadership experience, including supervising a human resources team, program development and day to day operations.
- Knowledge of human resources and employment related legislation (e.g., Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act).
- Strong understanding of healthcare recruitment challenges, trends, and best practices
- Utilizing succession planning frameworks and principles to support the development of a defined organizational succession program
- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other HR software tools (ie. BambooHR) and ability leverage technology to streamline recruitment processes, track candidate pipelines, and analyze recruitment metrics.
- Knowledge of organizational and job design, job evaluation and compensation systems and processes
- Strong analytical skills to support data reporting and insights
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect talent initiatives to business outcomes
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to approach, listen, build trust, and communicate across diverse cultures and intersectionality. Willingness to continually improve understanding around cultural competence.
- Openness to operate from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and intersectional framework.
- Willingness to learn and apply practical understanding of different elements of diversity, such as gender identity/expression, race/cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, disability, immigration and precarious status, family status, etc.
- Fluency in a second language, including ASL (American Sign Language) is considered an asset
- Valid Canadian drivers license and access to an insured automobile in good repair OR Ability to travel within and around Peel Region and Dufferin County OR Ability to travel within and around Greater Toronto Area as required.
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) report.
