Position Summary
Reporting to the Golf Services Manager - As a Starter Ambassador, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests by overseeing the flow of play on the golf course. You will ensure guests adhere to established rules and policies while providing a high level of customer service and maintaining a proactive presence on the course. Your role will be crucial in creating a safe, respectful, and seamless golfing experience for all players.

Key Responsibilities
- Greeting and interacting with any guests you encounter - with a smile.
- Monitor the flow of play on the course, ensuring that all groups maintain an appropriate pace and intervene as needed to address delays.
- Educate and enforce course rules and regulations, offering guidance to guests for a safe and respectful environment.
- Assist players with inquiries, provide information about the course layout and conditions, and help locate lost items.
- Ensure the safety of all golfers by identifying potential hazards and addressing unsafe behavior.
- Document and report any incidents or accidents on the course, ensuring proper follow-up and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to report course conditions and address any issues that may affect play.
- Inform guests about on-site amenities, including dining options, merchandise, and upcoming events.
- Support the management of special events or tournaments, ensuring operational needs are met.
- Patrol the course regularly in a golf cart to maintain visibility and assist guests as needed.
- Address and resolve disputes or conflicts between players in a calm and professional manner.
- Provide tips to guests on improving their game and understanding the course layout.
- Relay important information from the course to the pro shop staff, including course conditions and player issues.
- Monitor weather conditions and communicate any potential delays or warnings to guests on the course.
Requirements
- Driver's license required.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Knowledge of golf course operations and rules.
- Ability to stay calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work outdoors and maintain a presence on the golf course for extended periods.
- Ability to work flexible hours including some split shifts, early mornings and late evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Follow all Health and Safety procedures
- Passion for exceptional guest service and the golf industry.
Duration: Full-time and part-time seasonal positions available, April to October.
