THE ROLE

As a Welder Fitter Lead Hand, you will ensure the equipment is working efficiently and effectively while delivering a quality product in a safe and clean environment. This welder fitter full-time position is located in Hamilton ON for a very reputable manufacturing company.

ADVANTAGES

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Weld structural steel using FCAW to create strong, reliable joints.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment, such as machines, grinders, and torches
  • Read and follow blueprints and welding instructions to ensure accurate work.
  • Safely operate an overhead crane to move materials and equipment.
  • Follow safety rules and wear PPE at all times.
  • Choose the right tools and equipment for each job to ensure good results.
  • Work well with the team to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Take care of tools and equipment to keep them in good working condition.
  • Solve problems and find solutions when welding issues arise.
  • Help other departments like Assembly, Machining, and Mechanics to keep things running smoothly.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years of experience in welding within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in FCAW (Flux Core)
  • Ability to operate various welding tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards and best practices in the welding industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Strong welding and fitting abilities.
  • Certification through the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) is an asset.
