About The Role

The Senior Analyst, Capital Structuring manages the onboarding and maintenance of all debt instruments of the company, including preparing financial debt reports for senior management. This role also leads the debt compliance function, ensuring compliance with external lenders and maintaining strong relationships with those stakeholders. The Senior Analyst, Capital Structuring reports to the Capital Structuring team with additional reporting responsibilities to the Treasury Department .

What You'll Do

Debt Reporting

  • Distill key information from financing agreements and prepare reliable debt reports for senior management.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly debt reports including the Capital Structuring Board Report.
  • Prepare other ad-hoc reports as needed.

Debt Management and Compliance:

  • Initial loan potential analysis and underwriting parameters
  • Maintain a complete library of financing agreements, amendments, and renewals.
  • Maintain and update monthly debt schedule, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with Treasury on mortgage payment schedules and other funding requirements (extension fees, financing fees, etc.)
  • Manage the CORRA loans portfolio ensuring that they align with the timeline of the underwriters while minimizing borrowing costs.
  • Supervise the overall compliance process and prepare required reports accurately.
  • Reviewing reports that are prepared by accountants that are used in compliance.
  • Advising relevant teams on any risks identified related to compliance (i.e. covenant achievement, planning etc.).
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders; provide insights and recommendations on debt and compliance matters.
  • Communicate with the Treasury team on financing updates
  • Manage the process of arranging, monitoring, and reporting for letters of credit, surety bonding, and other financial instruments

Other:

  • Compile mortgage statements and amortization schedules.
  • Other job-related duties and/or projects for Capital Structuring and Treasury may be assigned.

What You Bring

  • 5 years of accounting/analyst experience, with at least 3 years of experience working in Finance in the real estate industry.
  • CPA or CFA designation.
  • Highly organized; ability to handle multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power Query for financial analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with stakeholders.
  • Well-versed in real estate financing.
  • Motivated to pursue best practices and willing to spearhead projects that will bring value to the company.
  • Ability to analyze alternatives and identify risks for informed decision-making.

Preference:

  • Advanced knowledge in Power Query and Power BI
  • Have Yardi experience

Our salary ranges and bonus percentages are determined by job family and level. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, education and training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.
