The Opportunity

Picton Mahoney Asset Management is presently seeking an ambitious, energetic, and relentlessly curious Associate, Inside Sales with a passion for providing investment solutions. The Associate will be a core contributor to the overall growth of PMAMs business and will partner closely with an assigned Vice President, Retail Sales (External Wholesaler) to contribute to the firms sales growth.

The successful candidate will be fueled by big challenges, committed to innovative sales strategies, and enjoy the thrill of winning new business. The opportunity requires the successful candidate to work in a hybrid model.

Youll have the opportunity to learn and lead:

Business Development & Sales Growth:

  • Proactively identify and cultivate new advisor relationships to expand Picton Mahoneys retail distribution
  • Leverage a consultative sales approach to position Picton Mahoneys investment strategies effectively and close new business
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans in partnership with the Vice President, Retail Sales (External Wholesaler) to drive growth within assigned territories

Client Engagement & Relationship Management:

  • Provide ongoing sales support to existing advisor relationships, ensuring proactive engagement and responsiveness to inquiries
  • Assist External Wholesalers in identifying key sales opportunities and implementing strategies to deepen client relationships
  • Maintain a superior understanding of alternative investment solutions, including hedge funds and liquid alternatives, to effectively educate and support advisors

Sales Execution & Performance Optimization:

  • Meet and exceed activity targets related to prospect meetings, client follow-ups, and outreach via phone and email to advance sales opportunities
  • Accurately track all sales engagements, interactions, and pipeline activity in CRM, ensuring detailed record-keeping and data integrity
  • Participate in regular team meetings and business planning sessions, contributing insights and strategies to enhance overall sales effectiveness

What were looking for

  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or a related field
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) certification completed or in progress; additional designations (CIM, CFA) are considered an asset
  • 2+ years of sales experience in financial services, investments, or a related industry
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; bilingualism in French is an asset
  • Self-motivated and innovative approach to driving sales, with a strong ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and execute both individual and team sales plans
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and extensive experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Willingness to travel as required
