Lambert Nemec Group, Winnipeg's premier Permanent Recruitment firm, is collaborating with our client to identify a Senior Talent Development Lead. This role will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that align with organizational goals, enhance employee skills, and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Responsibilities:

Strategic HR and Talent Development Leadership

  • Develop and execute a forward-thinking HR and talent development strategy that aligns with the organization's long-term vision, mission, and business objectives.
  • Drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide talent development programs, including leadership development, succession planning, and workforce upskilling initiatives.
  • Partner with C-suite executives and senior leadership to assess current and future talent needs, ensuring the organization is positioned to meet evolving business demands.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing talent development team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and ensure the team is equipped with the tools and resources needed to succeed.

Performance and Talent Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end performance management process, ensuring it fosters a high-performance culture, drives employee engagement, and aligns individual goals with organizational priorities.
  • Lead the identification and development of high-potential employees, creating robust succession plans to ensure leadership continuity and organizational resilience.
  • Provide strategic guidance to managers on talent management, career development, and performance improvement strategies.

Learning and Development Innovation

  • Spearhead the design and delivery of cutting-edge learning solutions, including leadership workshops, e-learning platforms, and coaching programs, to enhance employee capabilities and drive business results.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of talent development programs using data-driven metrics and adjust strategies to maximize ROI and impact.
  • Manage and optimize the company's Learning Management System (LMS) and HR Information System (HRIS) to ensure seamless tracking, reporting, and analysis of talent development initiatives.

Culture and Employee Engagement

  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and innovation by promoting development opportunities, career pathways, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Design and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction through targeted development programs and recognition strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Recruitment, and Diversity & Inclusion teams to integrate talent development initiatives with broader HR strategies, including recruitment, onboarding, and retention.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing insights and recommendations on workforce planning, talent gaps, and organizational development.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in human resources, with a strong focus on training and development.
  • Post secondary education in human resources, learning and development, adult education or related
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful training programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
