Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (a minimum of two days per week in-office, based on operational needs)

Integrated Employment Services (IES) Program

The IES program provides tailored support for individuals facing barriers to employment, helping them achieve meaningful, long-term outcomes. By addressing the unique challenges of each client, we create pathways to sustainable employment that transform lives and strengthen communities.

Requirements

WAYS YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

Retention Planning and Strategy

  • Develop and implement personalized Retention Action Plans for clients to address workplace challenges and support sustained employment for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Collaborate with Career Specialists and Employer Engagement Specialists to enhance onboarding processes and prepare clients for long-term success.
  • Collaborate with Employer Engagement Specialists to ensure employer education and retention strategies are seamlessly integrated.
  • Create tailored strategies for legacy clients to help them re-engage, transition into new roles, or maintain their current employment.
  • Use data insights to identify retention trends, refine strategies, and ensure program compliance with funder requirements.
  • Develop proactive retention strategies, including job coaching, life stabilization supports, and celebration of client milestones (e.g. 1, 3, 6, and 12-month).

Client Support and Engagement

  • Develop a Retention Action Plan for early intervention, and to identify high-risk clients, Job Starts, or placements, using trends and proactive monitoring.
  • Implement mentorship programs, pairing newly placed clients with experienced peers for additional workplace guidance and emotional support.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with clients to assess job satisfaction and provide proactive support and crisis management to resolve workplace challenges quickly and effectively.
  • Help clients navigate life changes (e.g., parenting, financial stress) and access upskilling opportunities like certifications or training programs.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with clients, including legacy clients, to assess job satisfaction and provide proactive support for workplace challenges.
  • Deliver employer education on managing diverse teams and workplace accommodations to enhance retention.
  • Provide comprehensive job coaching to clients through on-site support.

Retention Events and Training

  • Plan and host retention-focused workshops and events, such as peer networking sessions, workplace success seminars, and career growth webinars.
  • Collaborate with Employer Engagements Specialists to facilitate training for employers on inclusive hiring practices, workplace accommodations, and retention strategies to better support diverse clients, retention, and career growth.

Community Partnerships and Resources

  • Build partnerships with local organizations to expand available resources for clients, including mentorship programs and industry-specific associations.
  • Maintain and update a database of community resources to address barriers such as childcare, transportation, or housing.

Data Tracking and Reporting

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate case notes of client and employer interactions, placements, and outcomes using case management systems, in compliance with funder and organizational standards.
  • Maintain meticulous records of retention activities, including with legacy clients, in case management systems.
  • Track and analyze client retention data, including 1, 3, 6, and 12-month milestones, using insights to improve strategies and outcomes.

Retention Communication and Digital Tools

  • Develop and implement digital tools, such as email campaigns and SMS reminders, to engage clients and employers consistently.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Manager, and Community Engagement Specialist to create retention-focused social media content and marketing materials.

Workplace Expectations, Professionalism, and Compliance

  • Engage in training in crisis management, conflict resolution, retention-focused activity, etc. to improve outcomes for diverse clients.
  • Maintain professionalism and always adhere to workplace policies, ensuring focus and productivity in all environments.
  • Adhere to the organization's business casual dress code during work hours, whether onsite, online, or when working offsite.
  • Maintain an on-camera presence during virtual meetings.
  • Be available to work a hybrid model with at least two in-office days per week and additional onsite presence as required. In-person attendance is a mandatory requirement of the role and cannot be accommodated for remote work on these days.
  • Travel within the GTA to attend employer site visits, trainings, networking events, community outreach activities, etc.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when needed to support program goals or employer relationships.
  • Replace work-from-home days with in-office or offsite attendance for employer networking, team collaboration, or other organizational needs.
  • Comply with health and safety measures, including any applicable public health guidelines.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support organizational needs, and program delivery.

WHO YOU ARE

Required Qualifications

Education:

    • Post-secondary diploma/degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, career development, vocational rehabilitation).

Experience:

    • 2+ years of experience in employment case management, retention support, or counseling for individuals facing employment barriers.

Skills

    • Expertise in developing and implementing individualized retention strategies.
    • Strong written and verbal communication, with proficiency in Canva, Adobe Suite, MS Office, and case management tools.
    • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality performance.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP).
    • Multilingual skills (e.g., French, Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic).
    • Experience in job carving for upward career growth and supporting workplace accommodations for diverse employees.

What Success Looks Like in This Role
