Productive Resources(www.productiveresources.com)is seeking acandidateto be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Welland, Ontario, Canada. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be an experienced and detail-oriented On-site Engineering Support Specialist joining our Engineering Change Management team. This position will be based at our clients factory in Welland, Ontario. The successful candidate will play a key role in collaborating with the factory team to complete Engineering Changes, investigate and clean up Bills of Materials (BOM), manage tolerance stacks, and assist with hardware updates. The position also involves providing ongoing design support as needed.
Duties:
- Work directly with factory teams to implement Engineering Changes (ECNs) and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Investigate and clean up Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Perform tolerance stack analysis to meet design and manufacturing specifications.
- Update hardware designs and related documentation as per engineering changes.
- Provide day-to-day design support to engineering teams, addressing issues, questions, and updates related to the design process.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of engineering tasks.
- Review and validate design updates in Creo and AutoCAD software to ensure they meet technical and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Creo and AutoCAD software.
- Proficient in Mechanical Engineering principles and design processes.
- Previous experience with Engineering Change Management, including BOM investigation and cleanup.
- Solid understanding of tolerance stacks and hardware updates in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site factory environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work directly with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in an engineering support or design role, preferably in a manufacturing or production setting.
Preferred:
- Experience working within the GE Waukesha Engine Factory or similar manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with engine components or power generation systems is a plus.
