DESCRIPTION
Le Coordinateur(trice) environnemental HSE sera responsable du dveloppement, de la gestion et de l'amlioration continue du programme de gestion environnementale de l'entreprise. Cela inclut la planification des interventions en cas de dversement sur les projets de construction ainsi que la coordination de la certification LEED lorsque requis.
RESPONSABILITS
- Conformit environnementale : surveiller les activits de construction afin dassurer le respect des rglementations, politiques et meilleures pratiques environnementales. Raliser des inspections et audits rguliers des sites pour identifier et attnuer les impacts environnementaux potentiels. Coordonner la remdiation et lattnuation des incidents environnementaux. Veiller la bonne tenue de la documentation.
- Planification et suivi du contrle de lrosion et des sdiments sur site.
- Planification de la durabilit : dvelopper et mettre en uvre des plans de gestion environnementale aligns avec les objectifs du projet et les initiatives de durabilit. Fournir des conseils sur la gestion des dchets, la conservation de leau et lefficacit nergtique.
- Formation et sensibilisation : organiser des sessions de formation pour le personnel de construction et les sous-traitants sur les pratiques environnementales, les exigences LEED et les initiatives de durabilit. Promouvoir une culture de responsabilit environnementale sur le site.
- Rapports et documentation : prparer et maintenir des enregistrements prcis des valuations environnementales et des rapports de conformit. Communiquer les conclusions et recommandations aux parties prenantes du projet.
- Engagement des parties prenantes : assurer la liaison avec les autorits locales, les agences environnementales et les parties prenantes communautaires pour rpondre aux proccupations environnementales et favoriser la transparence du projet.
- Certification LEED : diriger lapplication des principes LEED sur les projets, y compris la documentation, le suivi et les rapports ncessaires la certification. Collaborer avec les quipes de projet pour intgrer des pratiques durables toutes les phases de la construction. Complter la documentation relative la certification LEED.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diplme postsecondaire en sciences de lenvironnement, ingnierie, gestion de la construction ou un domaine connexe.
- Exprience avre des processus de certification LEED et des pratiques de construction durable.
- Excellente comprhension des rglementations environnementales et des exigences de conformit en Ontario.
- Comptences exceptionnelles en communication, organisation et rsolution de problmes.
- Une certification LEED Green Associate ou LEED AP serait un atout.

DESCRIPTION
THE HSE Environmental Coordinator will be responsible for the development, management, and continuous improvement of the companys environmental management program. This includes planning for spill response on construction projects as well as coordinating LEED certification where required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Environmental Compliance: Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to environmental regulations, policies, and best practices. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential environmental impacts. Coordinate remediation and mitigation of environmental events. Ensure proper documentation is maintained.
Site planning and ongoing monitoring for Erosion and Sediment Control
Sustainability Planning: Develop and execute environmental management plans that align with project goals and sustainability objectives. Provide guidance on waste management, water conservation, and energy efficiency.
Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions for construction staff and subcontractors on environmental practices, LEED requirements, and sustainability initiatives. Promote a culture of environmental responsibility on site.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of environmental assessments, compliance reports. Communicate findings and recommendations to project stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with local authorities, environmental agencies, and community stakeholders to address environmental concerns and promote project transparency.
LEED Certification: Lead the implementation of LEED principles across projects, including documentation, tracking, and reporting required for certification. Collaborate with project teams to integrate sustainable practices into all phases of construction. Complete related documentation for LEED certification.
QUALIFICATIONS
Post Secondary Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience with LEED certification processes and sustainable building practices.
Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements in Ontario.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
LEED Green Associate or LEED AP credential preferred.
