DescriptionEnterprise Account Manager
Location: Anywhere in North America
To help drive ActiveState's next stage of growth of sales of our SaaS platform, we are seeking a hard-working, top-performing Enterprise Account Manager to join the team. We are looking for an individual to manage and expand business from our existing enterprise accounts.
These positions can be based out of our headquarters in beautiful Vancouver, BC or from home anywhere in North America.

We're looking for tech-savvy individuals with a growth mindset, and an understanding of complex selling and relationships in large enterprises. You'll be instrumental in nurturing existing accounts and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities for our Account Executives.
With a data-driven approach to understanding customers, you are a detail-oriented, strategic person who is always looking for creative ways to share ideas and expand business. You love meeting new people, you establish rapport and relationships easily by finding ways to help people solve their problems. You understand the nature of complex structures of large enterprise accounts, and can navigate your way around to find additional departments that can gain value from our products. You have experience working with individuals from developers up to C-level decision-makers and can communicate effectively with both. You are ambitious, persistent, collaborative, curious by nature, and a learner.
Responsibilities
  • Consistently exceed renewal sales objectives within existing accounts
  • Build & strengthen account relationships; Utilize retention strategies to retain existing customers
  • Prepare and deliver effective account reviews & demonstrations to expand the use of ActiveState within their business
  • Work with CSMs to ensure your customers are getting more value out of our products and BDRs to identify new & expansion opportunities in existing accounts
  • Develop and foster long-term relationships with users and managers in assigned accounts
  • Leverage available technologies and data to enhance the impact of sales calls and your management of accounts. Leverage this information to proactively develop a plan of action to address the needs of your accounts and opportunities to cross-sell
  • Prepare offers, proposals, product presentations, and other general sales-related activities.
  • Identify new opportunities within existing accounts, and partner with our Account Executives on these expansion opportunities.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, ideally with medium/large enterprises in US and/or Europe; selling technical products to IT, Security or Dev/Engineering an asset
  • Bachelor's degree, college diploma in sales/marketing or other field of study or equivalent experience
  • Goal- & Outcome-Oriented: Proven track record of setting, exceeding, and tracking/measuring/communicating results
  • Competitive: Must possess initiative, business acumen, confidence, and a competitive attitude
  • Detail-Oriented: Candidates should be organized, able to use account and user data from various internal and external sources, in order to plan and prioritize accounts
  • Selling Skills: Demonstrated ability to provide solutions and change behavior in support of business goals and objectives
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
  • Dynamic Adaptability: Ability to shift course and change priorities, adeptly handling complex and dynamic requirements and deadlines with minimum impact to job responsibilities.
  • Value-based Customer Resource: Recognize the needs of the Customer and offers detailed information to the Customer about the products we offer.
  • Teamwork: Effectively communicate and provide customer feedback to Customer Success, Product Management, Marketing and other teams to ensure Customer needs are met and selling obstacles overcome
  • Believes in resourcefulness over resources: Able to find solutions even when all the facts and/or alternatives are not fully known
