Job Description

The Food Service Manager is a key leader in delivering exceptional guest experiences across multiple outlets, ensuring seamless operations while upholding the highest service standards. This role focuses on coffee innovations, plated meal service, and overall food and beverage excellence, driving creativity and quality. The Food Service Manager builds and nurtures strong client relationships, balancing client expectations with business priorities, while leading a dedicated team.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the food service program, including menu planning, purchasing, inventory management, food preparation, and cost control.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the program, including labor costs, food costs, inventory, equipment, and materials.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the food service team to achieve high performance and consistently deliver exceptional results.
  • Establish and enforce operational standards while driving continuous quality improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Actively promote and support the marketing of the food program
  • Continuously analyze the food service program to identify efficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in regular client meetings to address service needs, resolve issues, and enhance the overall experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all company standards, as well as provincial and federal regulations.
  • Cultivate and maintain solid, mutually beneficial business relationships that prioritize client and customer satisfaction, account retention, and safety.
Qualifications

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • 3+ years of proven success managing food service operations in a busy setting, preferably within a corporate environment
  • Post-secondary education in business, hospitality, or related fields
  • Strong focus on building and maintaining positive client relationships while ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer experience.
  • Proven experience managing employee hiring, training, performance, recognition, and development.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience managing financials, including budgeting, labour cost, food cost, inventory, and financial reporting to ensure profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated commitment to Health and Safety
  • Service excellence training or certification.
  • Smart Serve Certification required.
