Position Overview:
As a Shop Attendant/Organizer, you will be integral to maintaining an orderly, efficient, and safe working environment in our busy shop and warehouse. Your role ensures that our tools, equipment, and workspace are organized, well-maintained, and that all operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong communication skills in English.
Key Responsibilities:
Shop & Warehouse Organization:
Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and inventory of both the warehouse and shop.
Ensure all tools and equipment are stored properly and accessible when needed.
Regularly inspect the shop and warehouse for safety hazards and address any issues promptly.
Vehicle & Equipment Preparation:
Prepare and set up work trucks for daily jobs, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.
Operate forklifts, bobcats, and other machinery necessary for efficient shop operations.
Inventory & Record Keeping:
Track inventory levels and document the location and condition of equipment and supplies.
Assist with ordering and restocking materials to prevent shortages.
Maintain accurate records of shop activities and inventory movements.
Support & Coordination:
Assist mechanics and other team members with material handling and equipment setup.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the timely delivery of tools and parts.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and organizational standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in shop organization, inventory management, or a similar role.
Familiarity with operating forklifts, bobcats, and similar machinery.
Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain systematic records.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proactive, reliable, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift items as required.
