Position Overview:
As a Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of our fleet operations. You will work on a fleet of approximately 20 vehicles and maintain 50 pieces of landscape equipment. We value organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential, as is a commitment to honesty and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance:
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a fleet of around 20 vehicles.
    • Maintain and repair small engines and landscape equipment to ensure they operate at peak performance.
    • Diagnose mechanical issues and execute timely repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work.
    • Track the usage and condition of all equipment and vehicles.
    • Manage a schedule for regular maintenance to prevent equipment failures.
  • Communication & Coordination:
    • Effectively communicate repair statuses and maintenance schedules with team members.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for parts and specialized services.
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures within the shop and yard.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a mechanic, with a background in both vehicle and small engine repair.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and follow technical manuals and instructions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and possessing a strong work ethic.
  • Commitment to honesty and integrity in all aspects of work.
  • Valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
