The proposed start date for this position is April 1st, 2025.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Finance & Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for full cycle accounting. The day-to-day tasks would include, but are not limited to:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations of projects under development and in construction
Assist in financial statement preparation, analysis and reports
Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
Assist with budget preparation process and updating monthly forecasts, prepare variance analysis
Participate in identifying and preventing discrepancies, and ensuring integrity of the GL
File all returns (GST, etc.) on a timely basis.
Process period end, including journal entries and bank reconciliations
Assist in year-end review engagements
Assist in continuous improvement activities, from idea generation to implementation
IDEAL CANDIDATE

Required experience/qualifications:
Minimum 3-4 years previous accounting experience.
Accounting related diploma or degree.
Experience in construction considered an asset.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
Ability to explain financial concepts to those without a financial background.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office 365 and advanced knowledge of Excel.
Experience with Acumatica considered a strong asset.
Adaptability in the face of change and willingness to learn.
Overtime may be required periodically.
Satisfactory background (criminal record and credit) check.
