The successful candidate for this role will work closely with our planning, production, sales, purchasing, and logistics teams, to deliver the utmost in support and service excellence to the organization and its customers.

A day in the life of this role:
- Business and sales development with established client base and delivery of proven influence, leadership and communications.
- Ability to set up customer buying programs and working closely with external suppliers and vendors.
- Develop and/or maintain relationships with key clients and uncover market opportunities.
- Build sales and marketing programs with product lines that builds sales for our customers throughout the entire year using a customer sales forecast.
- Develop relationships and work with outside vendors to source products on a contractual and/or as needed basis.
- An ability to develop a deep understanding of the industry both internally at Meyers as well as externally for our customers and their market.
- True entrepreneurial spirit with a passionate ambition to contribute and win as a team.
- An interest in marketing and branding ideas and initiatives.
- Ability to travel short term, possess a valid driver's license and valid passport.
What you bring to the role:
- Post-Secondary diploma in business or related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a sales & business development function providing direct communications and reports to a leadership group.
- Greenhouse or related horticulture experience an asset.
- Strong organizational and proven efficiency habits and work ethic.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs quickly.
- Developed numeracy skill, budgets and detail orientation.
- Organizational, time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure with competing deadlines.
- Superior communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
- Flexibility and initiative to undertake various duties and roles.
