Onda is an R&D and contract service organization focused on the application of biotechnologies to improve productivity, efficiency and sustainability in aquaculture and related industries. The company combines extensive experience in aquaculture with a strong background in aquatic animal health, nutrition, and molecular biology to provide researchbased solutions.Includes two facilities in Souris and Victoria with 67,000 square feet of aquatic animal research space and includes expansive, purpose-built wet and dry lab areas. The wet lab area are AQC1/2/3 (Aquatic Animal Containment) certified to provide services in drug approvals, vaccine testing, Batch release, and evaluation of feed ingredients. Operations include pilot-scale feed extruder.

Onda is seeking an Summer Intern to assist in the daily operations of its Facility in Souris, PE. The successful candidate reporting to the Senior Aquaculture Technician.

The successful candidate will be a key member of Onda Operations team with the following responsibilities:

• Assist in the daily operations of the aquarium facilities in compliance with regulatory
• Assists in setting up and decommissioning of aquatic
• Weekend work on a rotating basis with other operations staff
• General aquarium husbandry and feeding of fish and shrimp
• Assisting with sampling and grading events
• Room to grow within a progressive aquaculture research company

Essential skills/ experience/ competencies:

• Willingness to learn new skills and to perform routine and repetitive
• Ability to work as part of a team in compliance with facility standard operating
• Physically able to handle tasks that could include lifting (up to 50 Lbs.), bending and
• Selfmotivated with a demonstrated ability to think creatively and solve
• Demonstrable organizational skills with the ability to multi
• Fosters a positive work environment congruent with the company values and
• Aquaculture experience is considered an asset but not required.
