Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
This sales representative sells products, services and supplies to selected customers in a designated market area or accounts via inbound or outbound telephone contacts. The person in this position may have account responsibility with quotas. Limited field activity may occur, but only on an infrequent basis.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Quote jobs
- Close the sales on assigned products, or may generate leads for outside sales staff.
- Pro-actively sell to installed-base in support of company promotion and upgrade campaigns.
- Collaborate with and support field sales.
Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred. Requires at least 2 years related experience.
Requires strong abilities with building relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating and managing time. Requires knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Knows principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Effective at written and verbal communication. Requires intermediate industry and product knowledge. Must be able to use Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management software.
Compensation:
This is a salaried non-exempt role. This means that employees are paid a salary and also receive overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law). Factors that may affect the starting salary include geography/market and the individual's tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company's applicable plan.
