Canlan Sports is currently looking for a IT Project Manager (hybrid) to work for our York Central Office.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to lead full life cycle, cross-functional, technology projects. Reporting to the Program Manager (PMO), this role demands strategic planning, rigorous execution, and on-time, within-budget delivery of projects, coordinating internal resources and 3rd party consultants or vendors. Excellent proficiency is expected in creating and maintaining project artifacts, including but not limited to, BRDs, Project Plans, Gantt Charts, Roadmaps, RAID logs, SOPs, SOWs, RFPs, Vendor Scorecards, Contracts etc.

This role is hybrid and requires a valid driver's license and own vehicle for field visits.(2 Days Minimum, In-Office, at North York)

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategically lead the full project lifecycle - Initiation to Closure.
  • Define and articulate clear project scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Develop project plans with tasks, resource requirements, timelines, budgets & risk mitigation strategies.
  • Assembling, coordinating, and providing guidance to cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Build & manage project financials and monitor cross-functional resource allocation.
  • Establish and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
  • Utilize advanced project management tools (Wrike) to monitor/report project deliverables & roadblocks.
  • Provide proactive leadership and mentorship fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Deliver project updates, risks, & status through consistent and transparent stakeholder communication
  • Produce comprehensive reports outlining project progress, critical issues, and solutions.
  • Implement and manage change control processes ensuring seamless execution of projects.
  • Conduct Project Closure reviews, document lessons learned & drive continuous process optimization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading end-to-end enterprise technology projects.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in leading software & web development projects.
  • Excellent communication with key stakeholders, internal teams, and vendors.
  • Superior presentation & reporting skills, suitable for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail & ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in utilizing project management software such as Wrike, MS Projects etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Masters in business administration (MBA).
  • Demonstrated Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience in AWS, MS Azure and cybersecurity.
