About the Position:

Associated Ambulance is seeking qualified Advanced Care Paramedics (ACPs) to join our team at the Hinton Station. This permanent full-time position offers a consistent shift pattern of four days on followed by four days off. As an ACP with Associated Ambulance, you will play a vital role in delivering advanced medical care to the community, operating within a broad scope of practice that includes administering medications, performing intubations, and executing lifesaving measures such as cardiac pacing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient conditions to determine the extent of injury or illness and immediate care needs.
  • Administer pre-hospital medical care, including stabilizing injured or ill individuals for ambulance transportation.
  • Monitor vital signs, measure blood glucose levels, and utilize other diagnostic procedures.
  • Perform advanced life support procedures such as intubation.
  • Collaborate effectively with emergency medical personnel, emergency communications officers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Advanced Care Paramedic practice permit that meets the requirements for EMS practice in Alberta.
  • Current, valid Alberta Class IV drivers license.
  • Completion of all mandatory and required training, including MCP and PDIC.
