The contract Data Scientist will work as part of an AI team supporting initiatives for a Global Consumer Packaged Goods company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science and machine learning, as well as experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement advanced time series forecasting models for commodity prices and key business metrics.
• Apply statistical modeling, probability theory, and stochastic processes to improve forecasting accuracy and risk assessment.
• Utilize techniques like ARIMA, Bayesian models, state-space models, and deep learning approaches to enhance predictive capabilities.
• Use statistical tools beyond traditional metrics (MAPE, RMSE, MAE) to validate model effectiveness.
• Be proficient in Python and effectively communicate complex forecasting models to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest data science and machine learning techniques.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist
• Strong background in leveraging Linear Regression models
• Strong programming skills in Python and R
• Experience working with large datasets
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
