Job Title: Painting Foreman
Reports To: Project Manager
Job Summary:
The Painting Foreman is responsible for supervising multiple painting job sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company quality standards. This role involves coordinating materials, managing crews, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining clear communication with project managers, clients, and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and oversee multiple painting projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines.
- Coordinate and schedule crews across various job sites, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency.
- Order, track, and manage materials and supplies for each project, ensuring timely delivery and proper inventory control.
- Conduct site inspections to assess progress, enforce safety regulations, and resolve any issues or delays.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with project managers, clients, and team members.
- Train and mentor crew members, ensuring adherence to company standards and best practices.
- Enforce workplace safety policies and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Review project specifications, blueprints, and work orders to ensure proper execution.
- Monitor job costs and labor hours to keep projects within budget.
- Handle any on-site issues, client concerns, or change orders in coordination with project managers.
- Ensure all completed work meets company and industry quality standards before final inspection.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within the painting industry.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and project plans.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with clients, teams, and management.
- Proficiency in scheduling, job tracking, and using project management software is an asset.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent travel between job sites is required.
- Work may involve exposure to outdoor elements and physically demanding tasks.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on project deadlines.
