Applicant Requirements/Assets:

Most ideal applicants will meet many of the following non-mandatory criteria:

  • Completion of a Post-Secondary Program or Training in one of the following fields:
    • Bachelor of Commerce
    • Corporate Finance, Economics, and/or AccountingGeneral Business Management
    • Marketing
    • Management Information System
    • Contract Law.
  • Exposure or Experience working for a Construction Company
  • Minimum 2 years Experience in a Contract Administration or Financial Management position
  • Familiarity with WorkSafe BC Rules and Requirements
  • Excellent Technical Writing and Oral Communication Skills
  • Experience with Accounting Software such as SAGE, Eclipse, QuickBooks, Etc.
  • Aptitude to Complete Accurate Calculations/Critical Analysis while under pressure
  • Experience or Familiarity with Microsoft Office software;
  • Exceptional Organizational Skills
  • Excellent Time Management Skills and the ability to effectively manage ones own schedule and prioritize multiple project needs concurrently
  • Extraordinary Attention to Detail and Accuracy
  • Quality Control/Diligent Cross Checking ones own work to ensure accuracy
  • Valid Drivers Licence
  • Current Resident of the Prince George

Responsibilities:

  • Collecting, Coding, Filing, and Processing for Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Utilization of modern technologies and software to efficiently process and track company Financial and Contract documentation
  • Attendance and participation in Pre-Bid, Tender Opening, Contract Negotiation, Contract Management, Design/Build, and other project requirement meetings (virtual & in-person)
  • Assist the Project Management & Estimating team with the preparation and submission of competitive Bid Proposals, Tenders, Quotes, Construction Cost Estimates
  • Coordinate for Insurance & Bonding applications for Bid Security and Construction Contracts
  • Assist the Project Manager with Sub-Contracts
  • Assist Management with Corporate Marketing, Advertising, Sponsorships, & Donations
  • Assist Management with Planning and Execution of Company Events & Employee Recognition
  • Assist Management with New Employee On-Boarding and Human Resource initiatives
  • Assist Management with creation and distribution of internal company pamphlets, directories, bulletins, news-letters, etc.
  • General Office Administration.

Compensation:

This position is compensated at an hourly rate, with anticipated gross yearly income range $60,000 - $90,000 per year. Compensation rate will be determined by the successful applicants proven level of training and experience.
